Make Money with Adsense

If you are the owner of a review website, or any other website which is not directly involved in the marketing or promotion of a product or service, then you have no obvious source of income to support your online activities. That is, unless you take advantage of the opportunity afforded by Google Adsense.

Adsense is Google's advertising network - and it is responsible for placing the sponsored ads that you see on many websites.

When you apply to join the Adsense program, a member of Google's team will drop by your website within a day or two in order to review it.

Once your application has been approved, you can configure your account so that Google places ads on your website that are relevant to the content of your site.

This is called context-sensitive or contextual advertising. It has the effect of producing highly targeted adverts for each web-page, allowing higher returns for the advertiser, the advertising network (that's Google), and the website publisher (that's you).

The way it works

Google will pay you every time that a visitor (to your website) clicks on one of their ads.  However, the amount they pay is usually quite small; so for it to be really worthwhile, you need to have a large number of visitors calling by your site each day, or you need to have a large number of sites displaying Adsense ads, or preferably both.

You might therefore question whether Google Adsense is one of the best Ways to Make Money Online. 

Well, it's a very interesting question !

As I've already indicated, if you are the owner of a non-commercial type of website, Google Adsense can provide you with a source of revenue which you wouldn't otherwise receive.

Virtual Real Estate

Well, the answer lies in a revolutionary concept called Virtual Real Estate or VRE for short.  It is the brainchild of the widely acclaimed Internet pioneer John Reese.

The strategy is to create not just one but a multitude of article-style websites - with each individual website featuring an article on a specific niche topic.  Each site is built around a single keyword, or keyword phrase, and the content of the article is strongly keyword focussed.  This means that the context-sensitive Adsense ads which are then placed on the site are highly relevant to the content of the site, which in turn means that you are likely to get a large number of clicks on those ads from visitors searching on those keywords.

The secret is to build these websites around search terms and niches in which advertisers are willing to pay a lot of money (that way you get paid more per click) and which are known to receive a high volume of searches.  In other words, you need to write your articles and build your site around highly targeted & profitable keywords.

You may not earn a massive amount of money from one website alone. But, if you have 30 websites each earning you $100 each month, that's $3,000 in your pocket - and that's not small change !  What's more, these sites can run on autopilot for years and make you very rich !

First of all, where do I get my articles from ... ?

Well, that's fine, you might say, but how do I find keywords which are profitable and highly targeted ...  ?

Well, this is the really important question in all of this - because, to be really successful with VRE, your sites must be built around niche markets in which advertisers are willing to pay a lot of money and which receive a large number of searches.  In other words, the keywords need to be high-value (i.e. advertisers are prepared to bid high on them) so that you get paid more per click; and they need to be popular keywords that pull a large volume of traffic to your site via the search engines.  

Again you have three options:

1) You can buy high-paying Adsense keyword lists from sites such as Adsense Heaven.  This will cost you a lot of money if you are looking to build multiple sites - and you do need to build multiple sites to make a lot of money from Adsense.

2) Find high-paying Adsense keywords manually - using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool.  This is fine - but it tends to be extremely tedious and time-consuming !

3)  The best option of all is use software like Brad Callen's Keyword Elite 2.0, or his more recently released Niche Finder, which does everything for you.

Finally, just a friendly word of warning to anyone who doesn't know too much about Google Adsense. 

One of the things that you must remember is to never click on your own Google Adsense ads; or allow any other member of your household to do so.  The point is that Google will pay you every time that someone clicks on your Adsense ads - so clicking on your own ads is regarded as fraud, and will (at the very least) get you kicked out of the Adsense program.
